Musical events at the Museum have a long and rich history, dating back to the move of the Museum to the Potulicki Manor\u2019s outbuilding gifted by the City Council. The lovely orangery simply cried out to be used for concerts! Its dimensions, particularly the high ceiling, created an environment with exceptional acoustics, particularly suited for chamber music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first concerts were hosted at the orangery in 1991 at the initiative of the I. J. Paderewski Music Society of Pruszk\u00f3w. From that time onward, the musical events held therein have become a permanent fixture on the city\u2019s cultural map. After a few years of working together with the MSP, the Museum began to organise concerts on its own, as part of its themed cycles corresponding to the four seasons. Pruszk\u00f3w music-lovers have had an exceptional opportunity to become acquainted with leading Polish and foreign performers. The programme is heterogenic, including chamber music, jazz, stage song and evenings with sung poetry. By the end of 2021, almost 580 had been held at the venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Museum owns an antique piano from the times of Frederic Chopin, made in 1830 in K\u00f6nigsberg, Prussia, by Carl Julius Gebauhr.
