The bulk of the collection are objects discovered during the Museum’s exploration of the Mazovian Centre of Metallurgy (settlements at Biskupice, Milanówek-Falęcin, Brwinów and Reguły) and areas adjacent to Mazovia (settlements at Kraśnicza Wola and Młochów).
